We only use solar screen material manufactured in the USA by Phifer Wire Products Inc. "America's First Family" in insect screening, sun control fabrics, woven vinyl-coated polyester, aluminum wire and related wire products.

An Economy Solar Screen

Blocks up to 70% of the Sun's Heat.

Phifer SunScreen - is a woven "fiberglass" product. The unique ribbed weave is designed to block up to 70% of the sun's heat and glare. SunScreen stops insects but will allow gentle breezes to enter. If your windows have existing insect screens, SunScreen can be installed in the same manner, often using the same frames. SunScreen offers good outward visibility and adds daytime privacy to your windows.

80% or 90% Heat Blockage.             

Phifer SunTex - is a fabric woven of extremely strong and durable "vinyl-coated polyester" yarns. The uniform weave design offers excellent outward visibility and good ventilation. Shading is approximately 80% or 90%, and SunTex is available in a choice of four earth tone colors. The fabric is also pet resistant making it ideal for use in doors and full-length screen panels.

Which is best, SunTex 80 or SunTex 90?  You decide based on your needs.

1. Choose SunTex 80 if you desire excellent cooling but don't want to lose your outward visibility or natural lighting.
2. Choose SunTex 90 if you live in a desert climate or desire increased daytime privacy and don't mind the home being a little darker inside.

Phifer SuperSolar - Super Solar Screening from Phifer improves air-conditioning efficiency by stopping up to 90 percent of the sun's heat before it penetrates the glass surface. Super Solar Screening also improves daytime privacy and reduces glare while allowing natural ventilation and excellent outward visibility. Super Solar is thinner than SunTex and some find it easier to install on Do-It-Yourself Projects.
